About CBSE
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a progressive board, working directly under the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, India. The prime focus of the Board is to bring about innovations in teaching, learning methodologies and reforms in examinations and evaluation practices. Teacher training programmes and workshops are conducted by the Board to update the pedagogical skills of teachers and administrators.
Apart from enhancing the standards of academics, importance is also given to sports and games, life skills education and environmental education. Every year CBSE conducts a national level Maths Olympiad, Science talent contest, Essay contests and so on for students of CBSE schools.
